Love and Hip Hop : New Season New City

While Love and Hip Hop Atlanta is taking a break to tape for their second season, Love and Hip Hop New York, began a new season, with mostly new cast members.
James Pinkeny

Former cast members Chrissy Lampkin, rapper, Jim Jones, Emily Bustamante, Kimbella and Somaya Reece have been replaced by rapper Joe Budden, his ex- girlfriend Tahiry Jose, Raqi Thunder as well as others.

James Pinkney, a viewer said, “I did like it better with some of the old cast members, but the season just started, so I’ll have to see how the season goes.”

So far the cast has brought the drama. The opening scene of the first episode was with Tahiry Jose and Joe Budden having conversation that resulted in Tahiry flipping the table and storming out.

Day McKenzie

It seems as though the Love and Hip Hop Atlanta cast is in competition with the New York cast for the viewers. I asked Day McKenzie which cast she liked better and she chose the Atlanta cast.

Tell me which casts do you like better, Atlanta or New York?

3.

Nut Graph: Hot dogs aren’t the only risky food children up to nine years old shouldn’t eat include: candy, nuts, grapes, apples, carrots and popcorn.

Nut Graph: Mrs. Belcuors was 51 year old and died of a heart attack. She left a husband and four children.  It wasn’t until after her funeral, the medical examiners discovered that the body of the unclaimed woman was missing.

Hunter Lewis

In my mass communication class, we were asked to do a profile on one of our classmates and we were asked to find a lead or what was unique about our partner. My partner was Hunter Lewis, freshman mass communication major with a possibility of minoring in history.  As we began to interview one another and ask questions we realized we were both boring people majoring in mass communication. We didn’t think there was anything unique about each other at all, but as I look over my notes I realized, there was something. Music is one the key components in Hunter becoming a writer.
Hunter has played the clarinet for the past eight years. Her clarinet skills are what landed her with her first internship with her local newspaper. She has done many internships with them prior to her coming to college. I asked her why she decided to major in journalism, she said “I‘ve always enjoyed writing, I’ve done lots of internships, wrote on my high school newspaper, and was Co-Editor for my school’s online newspaper.” Hunter has great experience with writing for newspapers.
We also spoke about who inspires us within our majors. Her role model is Anna Douglas, a Winthrop graduate. “I think what she does is really cool. She traveled the world and she’s been some where I’ve always wanted to go, Australia,” says Hunter. Hunter also talked about her AP English teacher who kind of believed in her writing skills. “She used to always send my work off to others to be critique so I could I guess become better,” Hunter explained.
Hunter wants to write pieces on human interest or music. When ask which publication she wants to work for Hunter, responded, “I would like to work for NPR’s music department.” I’m pretty sure with Hunter’s experience in the business; she will meet all of her goals and aspirations. With her outgoing, optimistic and motivated personality, as she describes herself, Hunter will be a force to reckon with.
